Me sitting on the hood of my late grandpa’s Opel Rekord C Coupe, purchased new by him in 1969. Shortly after the photograph above was taken he purchased a Montrealblaumetallic BMW 316i Compact for 36.000 Deutsche Mark. The Opel was sold off to a guy in a neighboring small vil lage. In 2002 me and my grandfather finally reunited. Well, at least for a couple of hours at the local Wal Mart at an Opel meet.
To my surprise the Rekord lives on. I found this photo while googling Opel Rekord Coupes and apparently the photos was taken this year. I’d love to own this car some day.

Your grandfathers actual car (not just the same model) is still on the road?!
You have to track it down and buy it!

Opels and ( European) Fords of the 50s and 60s looked very American but in a slightly smaller scale.

now American Fords and Chevy’s look like European cars, because they re designed by Europeans .
